DADS!!!!!! tribute to fathers and father figures on dads day!

well happy fathers day to all the dads out there! i want to let all my fathers and father figures know how much i love them and appreciate the influence they have had in my life. if you know me you know that i have had many of these "fathers" in my life. i have had dads, step dads, grandpas, a father in law, many uncles and family friends that have had a great influence on me.
i love them all so much and i am so greatful for the love patients and guidance they have all given me throught the years. i know i havent been the easiest child to deal with lol! but i really want to show my love and appreciation to the most important father in my life now and that is dakota. he is not my dad but the father of my kids and he is amazing! he is the best man i could ever ask for! he is caring, forgiving, loving, kind, he works so hard to support us he is just so great! i dont know what i would do without him! hazel and jaiten love him so much they are so happy when daddy gets to be home with us and sad when he has to be at work. i am so thankful for him in my life as my eternal companion. i never want to be without him.
dads are so important i have realized this over the years everyone needs a dad or father figure in their life.

linkin park video

so i have seen the linkin park "what ive done" video before but i just saw a new version and man it really got to me. here is a link to youtube watch it and tell me how you feel after k http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsmoXP4X_qY
i like music but after we started a family my music taste definitely changed. i used to like harder stuff like linkin park staind POD even naughty rap lol but now i really watch what i listen to and say because i dont want my kids saying some of that stuff! so i havent really paid attention to linkin park especially their videos but when dakota saw this he had to show me. i watched and i had so many mixed feelings go through me; pain, sadness, devastation, shock, fury, disgust, then the reality hit that it was all TRUE! the clips that it shows are real it is stuff that is going on in our world every day and to me it is heart wrenching! there are some amazing ones too like the polar bear and the ultrasound and the baby but seeing the clips of children holding guns, hitler and the people with their arms stretched up and out in front of them to "hiel" to him, and the few of the twin towers it just reminded me of all of the devastation we have seen and learned about. what really kills me is to think about the other side and people that were there supporting these terrible acts and believing in the things that hitler or sadam or osama were saying. it makes me wonder if in a few years we will be thinking the same thing about obama? instead of jews is it going to be all Christians?
if you watch it you can pick up the irony in each set of clips the beginning there is a sign that says eat then a guy stuffing a sandwich into his face, a girl measuring her waist then a man unwillingly wasting away. we diet or binge while they starve.
im not trying to be mean or hurtful or make you think the way i do i just want to share this with you. it hurts me to see these things and i think i personally really needed to see this right now to fully appreciate what i have. simple things that i take for granted every day our home, car, food, income and especially the freedom we have to choose our religion and have our beliefs in god and worship the way we believe to be true. i do love my heavenly father very much and i hope that i along with my husband and children could stand up for what we believe even if it means persecution.
anyways just some thoughts i wanted to share comment or email me let me know how it made you feel i want to hear!

going for a ride on the potty train..... again....

so hazel is potty training again.... she has teased me with this excitement before so im hoping she is for real this time lol! it would be so great to not have to buy diapers for her anymore. its so inconvenient to have to get 2 different sizes ugh.... i guess thats what happens when they are so close together huh? she is doing very well so far and her daddy told her she could get her ears pierced when she wore big girl panties all the time! yay! im hoping the pain of that doesnt make her revert back to diapers! that would suck i would probably cry :,( she is growing up so fast its so fun to see her little personality come through. she is so lovey and sweet most of the time!
my mom went through her storage shed and found my "old" doll house and gave it to haze along with some of my other "old" toys (i do that because trisha informed me they were in fact vintage :) ya i wanted to poke her in the eye...) hazel has had to show everyone who has come over her new doll house that was mommys, its so cute! i tried to make her some dollies to go with it they turned out pretty cute i must say but dakota was upset that i made jaiten one too oh well. jessie was devistated and didnt understand why all those toys were all hazels and not hers. it is interesting to see the relationship my moms younger kids have with mine. they love each other but hazel doesnt like having to share her grandparents at all with anyone especially grandma shaundra with jessie and grandma penny with melanie thats when the teeth come out!
